I saw some movies that were filmed in real High Schools! Like "Kick- A S S" which was filmed at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School (Hamilton) And "Superbad" which was filmed at El Segundo High School I am just wondering how did they film in a real high school? Agreements signed on my family's story had expired without extensions being added.?

I have sent a formal letter to the filmmakers withdrawing the agreement but they say they still have the rights to the story and will continue with the project. My concern is that they are using my story without a valid agreement. The agreement was signed in 1996 to produce a documentary film but nothing has been done since. There is no sight of a completion date. The agreement has expired on three occasions and had not been extended. When I complained that it was taking too long to make the film they agreed to add an addendum stating that If the film was not completed within nine months of signing date that I would have the right to contact other filmmakers interested in the project. But they have now said that I cannot do this as it would complicate the work they have already done even though they had agreed I could. They have said on one occasion that if I didn't cooperate with them they would continue with the project and that I would not be paid any money when the film was completed. I don't understand why they did not extend the agreement when it had expired.I have correspondence and agreements and would be thankful for some help in checking these. I'm a pensioner and unable to employ a solicitor. I also have a bad hearing problem and don't use the phone. Hope you can help. Thanks.

I have hot tube problems?

i have a sun wave hot tube and the box where the main power switch is, i was wondering if any one knew where i could find a wiring diagram for it, the box is a brett aqualine and the model # is EM-203 and the SN is 87112. Halloween... Meh it was ok... I also hate movies based off of video games and comic books because I'm a huge nerd. DOOM was the worst movie ever made based off of a video game. Copyright laws for a documentary filmmaker?

Me and a friend of mine are in the middle of building an educational documentary that we plan to sell. There are some clips from Universal movies that we'd like to include in the film. What are the copyright laws in the US for using clips from movies? For example: is there an x number of seconds/minutes we can use without permission, or do we have to include some kind of credit at the end of the film, or what?

Not really sure about most of the stuff about how long it takes for things to happen but i thought i'd answer a few questions. Being in the scouts probably wont have any effect on your application, only to the extent that you may utilise many of the skills its given you. In terms of differences between the RAF Regiment and the Royal Marines, yes their primary role is to guard RAF assets at home and in the field, this does not mean that they never see action, they saw a lot of fighting and came under attack a lot in their attempts to make Kandahar safe, but i certainly wouldn't have thought you'de see anywhere near the same amount of action with them as you would in the Royal Marines, unless you are placed in one of the small units within the regiment that support special forces operations.

Why is the topic of the modern horror movies mostly deadly boring?

A lot of these modern day horror films lack any type of storyline. They rely mostly on jump scenes and lots of gore, which is okay sometimes, but without a decent storyline, the movie gets very boring after awhile. Horror films from back in the day used to play off myths, legends and people's worst fears, whereas now some of the movie concepts come completely from left field and others are merely remakes (in which half of those are not up to par). Okay, so i'm a 15 year-old baritone, my vocal fry ranges from E2-G2, modal voice from A2-Bb4, falsetto from B3 to D6 and sometimes E6, and my whistle register goes from A5-B6. Snake Assistance Required!?

well it depends on if you want a really big snake or a fairly large snake. Everyone that starts off with a snake as a pet usually aims toward the ball python. They reach around 4-5 and if handled correct are very friendly and would make a wonderful pet. I have had 2 ball pythons in the past and now I have 2 Columbian red tailed boas. Me personally I like the red-tails because of the size (anywhere from 5-12+ft) and my boas are only a month old so seeing them grow will be a great experience. Moving to New York from London?

I'm 19 years old and am doing a BA in Film & television and have started planning what I'm going to do after I leave uni. I am a young filmmaker and I want to know what cameras you would recommend. I am not sure of the difference between point & shoot, slr, and camcorders. I mostly want to shoot 1080p HD short movies, so good audio would be great. I would also like a camera with some options on the menu itself to improve filming. With the zoom I don't need a long shot or anything just the ability to close up during video mode. Now on to the picture mode, I don't need to have breathtaking quality but it shouldn't be horrid quality either. My price range is around $500 and less. Ive been using this HP Pavilion dv7-4270us laptop for a few months now, and i have to say that im pretty impressed with it overall. Its pretty light weight for people who would be carrying it around, but its a strong build also. I use it for all kinds of things like surfing the net, gaming, and encoding videos to name a few. i also use it as a HTPC, and it hooks up well to my 32'' T.V. via the HDMI output. PQ and AQ look and sound great when connected to a T.V. as does everyday web browsing if you want to go that route with this laptop. The Blu-ray drive is pretty good and doesnt take very long to load it either, and the video looks good on the 17'' screen as well. All in all, very good bang for your buck with this product.

Unfortunately, props are a tedious hours of hunting and building type of thing. It really does involve hours of digging through yard sales, second hand stores, and websites or just breaking down and making your own. This is why movies and theatres have departments dedicated to props.

Getting ready to shoot my first feature-length horror movie and I need to commit or rather invest in my first HD camcorder. This particular movie will have about 3 fight scenes and at least one car chase that will require a camcorder that can catch all the face paced action in those individual scenes. In addition, I will be shooting "day for night" so low-light situations should not be an issue. Canon DSLR and Camcorders?

So I've been wanting to get a camera for a while now. The feature I am most interested in is video recording. Initially, I had opted for the Canon EOS 60D because it had HD video recording, but I ended up getting a Canon VIXIA HF M41. So far I like the camcorder, but I was wondering if my choice was right. What made me go for the camcorder was the idea that the audio is far better in a camcorder than in a DSLR camera. Is this correct, or do both function equally as well when it comes to video recording. I heard somewhere that movie theatres prefer films made on 2k cameras and above but those are expensive, hard to come by, and knowledge of using them is another issue in itself. I wonder how other indy filmmakers do it. I would like to make a movie myself and send it to film festival but I do not have the means of getting my hands on a 2k like the Arri Flex now in my life. Filmmakers: i rent a lot of equipment, should i buy a poor $100 DV camera just for the transfers? instead of..?

Instead of paying for video transfers all the time from DV to CD; would it effect the quality of the transfer? i don't want to have to pay each time i need to convert footage, i thought about buying an old DV camera, and after i shoot the footage in a good camera and return it, i'll be able to transfer the material from the DV Tape to my PC via the old camera; would that effect the quality?

jimmy smith are kind of similar both like to make plays on the ball. aj green and calvin johnson both are play makers but calvin johnsons a bigger more physical receiver. julio jones and larry fitzgerald to me are alot a like both are big tall physical receivers the can both block and catch they have the speed to stretch the field but also can go across the middle. jake locker isnt much like brett farve in my opinion jake locker has good arm strength but poor accuracy and is really good when he takes off brett farve is relatively accurate and makes most of his throws but rarely runs and when he does its only for 2 maybe 3 yards

Read books written by great directors. A couple I can think of are Hitchcock by Truffaut and a book about Billy Wilder by Cameron Crowe.

ok mister soon to be filmaker, you desparately need to get some schooling in film and video production technique. many community colleges have courses, and if you don't have time to sit for classes, the college bookstore will carry some excellent texts on this topic. get them and read. one very important reason to take classes is to meet people who are capable to help fill out your film crew. networking is an important part of independent filmmaking, its a lot better than asking on Yahoo Answers.

In the books they're described as sounding strange, basically, in comparison to Katniss's southern accent. Was anyone else surprised that Katniss has a southern accent? It does make sense considering District Twelve's location in the Appalachian mountains, but I just never heard her voice in my mind as southern. My boyfriend(He is 18 too) really wants me to move out of my house with my mom and sister and get an apartment with him and his friend. They both work full time and make pretty good money. She is a strong catholic and believes that it is wrong to move in with someone before marraige. But I am very miserable at home, and my mom does keep the house pretty disgusting. Dreams are usually representations of your subconscious or what you did the day before. Normally dreams do not hold any specific meaning and are usually random. Depending on how to want to look at the dream it could mean many different things. For one it could mean nothing but on the other hand you probably believe that you are a kind caring person who would help someone who is in need and you would want a little compensation for all of your deeds that you do. For me personally if I have a dream that I remember clearly I usually look for deeper meanings even though that I know deep down that they are usually random and don't mean anything. Depending on your outlook on life I say that you should keep doing good deeds and helping others in need. There are not too many people like that in the world and we could always need more people to help out those in need. Who knows maybe your kind deeds may be rewarded someday.

Boom microphone for young filmmaker?

I am 13 years old and I love to make films. I am thinking of buying a microphone on a boom to catch audio, and it would be plugged into an audio mixer, to later be synched with the video. First, it sounds like you are still new to the art. You may be expecting too much too soon from yourself. Does a college quarterback get discouraged and beat himself up when he sees a pro throw the ball? No. Instead, he is inspired by the pro. He watches and learns from him and continues to practice. Go easy on yourself and don't get discouraged. Most amateurs will produce amateurish type work. Stay with it and someday the amateurs will be admiring YOUR work.

And my highest note in chest or full voice or whatever its called is like a G or A above middle c( I dont know its not higher since my voice hasnt changed yet) but in my high voice(head voice) i can go way past a c6 (2 octaves above middle c) I was just wondering how high my chest voice would go from where it is now because i would like to get to a c5(and octave above middle c) And i know im not at my full potential because i strain my voice a lot. I hear voices when I'm alone, am I crazy?

So the first time this happened I was 8 or 9 and I was having trouble sleeping which I always have and then all of a sudden I hear this voice whisper to me, Just go to sleep Brett... Now there was something about the tone and the fact that I did not concisely think it, but it scared the crap out of me. I remember freezing and being too scared to move. Since then it has happened quite often. They never tell me to anything most the time and never anything bad, but still. Most the time it's just whispering my name. Another thing that happens often is that I will have my eyes close and they will be a bright white flash and a sound. The best way I can describe it is someone jamming on the keys of a piano that is out of tune. Really I've dealt with it so long it doesn't get to me as much, but I fear it may turn into something worse? I mean, you always hear about crazy people saying they did what they did because the voices told them to. I've never told this to any with the exception of an ex girlfriend pretty for fear of being labeled crazy. When I was little, I thought my house was haunted, but it happens pretty much anywhere I live. The only period that I can think of it not happening is when I live with my ex whom I told, not sure why.

Voice Change Finish Changing At 16 ?

I was 16 in January I'm 5 ,10 . I have lots of hair on my body and armpits but my facial hair started 5-6 months a go . I have moderate acne and I have to use Proactiv. My voice never cracked but got lower in time it started to change around 13-14 .... I'm a singer who sings a lot I train my voice with the (mastering mix program from Brett Manning) ...When i talk my voice doesn't crack but when i sing when i go around E4 it strains and crack a little ... I'm scared I'm not gonna be able to sing anymore because my voice will get to low and that I will be stuck singing Elvis lol ... IS IT STILL CHANGING IS IT GONNA GET A LOT DEEPER ... your teacher will teach you to breath and control your breath, if you have the gift of tone, it will all fall into place with practice. That you can play piano is great. You can really work on nailing your pitch when practicing piano and singing scales at the same time.
