Should I buy this camcorder?

Well its a Canon XL1S and is in perfect condition and the description says: Canon XL1s in great condition. Used sparingly. Quite a few extras including the 7' LCD screen, wide angle lens, 5 ft. tri-pod, padded carrying and storage case, and extra 8-hour battery. Great for the beginning filmmaker and professional videographer. $1000 or best offer! Now I have $1,500 in graduation money Im going to college for this and my Grandma is saying we can find one local which I cant and its only 30 minutes away
