I hear voices when I'm alone, am I crazy?

So the first time this happened I was 8 or 9 and I was having trouble sleeping which I always have and then all of a sudden I hear this voice whisper to me, Just go to sleep Brett... Now there was something about the tone and the fact that I did not concisely think it, but it scared the crap out of me. I remember freezing and being too scared to move. Since then it has happened quite often. They never tell me to anything most the time and never anything bad, but still. Most the time it's just whispering my name. Another thing that happens often is that I will have my eyes close and they will be a bright white flash and a sound. The best way I can describe it is someone jamming on the keys of a piano that is out of tune. Really I've dealt with it so long it doesn't get to me as much, but I fear it may turn into something worse? I mean, you always hear about crazy people saying they did what they did because the voices told them to. I've never told this to any with the exception of an ex girlfriend pretty for fear of being labeled crazy. When I was little, I thought my house was haunted, but it happens pretty much anywhere I live. The only period that I can think of it not happening is when I live with my ex whom I told, not sure why.
