My ultimate dream is to be a filmmaker, do I have a chance!?

I want to be a film director and writer but I have very low confidence and I am dspraxic. All my family and friends aren't in anyway supportive since their believe that it's a wild dream that won't ever happen. Do you reckon I could be a filmmaker?
